About the project

Headquarters: Canada URL: https://tailscale.com/ About the Role We are seeking a strategic, creative, and highly experienced Head of Communications to lead and scale Tailscale's global communications function. This leader will shape how Tailscale is understood by the market, elevate our visibility in the media, and build the communications engine needed to support our next phase of growth. Tailscale is a multi-product secure connectivity platform spanning networking, privileged access, workload connectivity, and AI infrastructure. We have an opportunity to help define the future of secure connectivity, establishing Tailscale as the obvious and best networking choice for AI and agentic infrastructure. We're looking for someone who can turn our technical innovation, customer impact, and vision into compelling stories that earn attention and establish Tailscale as a category leader. Reporting to the SVP of Marketing, you will own product and corporate communications, public relations, media strategy, internal communications, crisis communications, award applications, international comms and media relations, new media engagement, and executive communications across the leadership team outside the CEO. You'll also partner closely with a separate dedicated CEO and policy communications leader to ensure our stories are coordinated and consistent. This is a builder role for someone who combines strong strategic judgment with exceptional execution. You will initially be hands-on while hiring and developing a small, high-performing team. You will work directly with leaders across Product, Engineering, Marketing, People, Legal, and the executive team to build a communications function that can scale with Tailscale's ambitions. Key Responsibilities • Develop and execute Tailscale's global communications strategy, strengthening brand awareness, reputation, and market leadership. • Lead product and technology communications, translating complex innovations, product launches, and customer stories into compelling narratives that earn meaningful media coverage. This should include sustained product storytelling between launches, including through independent reviews, technical publications, comparisons, creators, and third party validation. It could also include research-led PR. • Build strong relationships with top-tier business, technology, cybersecurity, and AI journalists, driving proactive media opportunities and increasing Tailscale's share of voice. • Expand Tailscale's presence across emerging media channels, including influential podcasts, newsletters, creators, and technical communities. • Own corporate communications for major company milestones, strategic partnerships, funding announcements, and other business developments. • Build and scale international communications programs, including regional media relations and agency partnerships. • Develop executive communications and thought leadership programs for the leadership team outside the CEO, including speaking opportunities, media engagements, and executive social presence. Partner closely with the dedicated CEO and policy communications lead to coordinate company narratives, major announcements, and executive engagement, building comms campaigns for executives that align with the overall company narrative. • Oversee internal communications, partnering with People and executive leadership on company-wide messaging, all-hands, organizational changes, and employee engagement communications. • Lead crisis communications, establishing response plans and partnering with Legal, Security, Engineering, and leadership to protect customer trust and company reputation. You should be able to improve processes over time as we scale. • Own Tailscale's awards and recognition strategy, identifying and securing high-value industry and company accolades. • Hire, manage, and develop a high-performing communications team while overseeing external agencies, communications processes, and performance measurement. This team will start small (likely 2 heads), but has the potential to grow in the future as we scale. • Partner closely with the dedicated CEO and policy communications individual contributor to maintain consistent narratives and support broader policy communications initiatives. What We Are Looking For • 10+ years of experience in public relations, product communications, or corporate communications, ideally within high-growth B2B technology companies. • Proven track record of securing meaningful earned media coverage and building strong relationships with influential journalists. • Deep product communications expertise, with the ability to translate complex technical products into clear, compelling stories. • Experience hiring, managing, and developing communications professionals and overseeing agency partners. • Exceptional writing, storytelling, and editorial judgment across external, executive, and internal communications. • Experience advising senior executives and navigating high-stakes or sensitive communications situations. • Strong strategic judgment and operational discipline, with the ability to prioritize, build scalable processes, and measure impact. Curiosity around and openness to leveraging AI to support operations and execution but not replace human taste and judgement. • A hands-on, creative, and highly accountable leader who thrives in ambiguity, moves quickly, and is comfortable building from the ground up. Nice to Have • Experience in networking, cybersecurity, infrastructure, developer tools, or AI. • Experience scaling communications at a high-growth, global technology company. • Experience supporting fundraising, acquisitions, or pre-IPO communications as well as experience supporting a company through an IPO. • Experience collaborating with teams who support analyst relations, public policy, or major industry research initiatives. Some roles require in-office collaboration depending on team needs, which will be clearly noted in the job description. • Employer-funded retirement contributions. Tailscale will match your retirement contributions dollar-for-dollar, up to a maximum annual employer contribution equal to 0.75% of your eligible compensation. • Connect with other Tailscalars IRL. Attend our annual company retreat, participate in team off-sites, and collaborate in person with teammates across Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Singapore. We support intentional in-person connection through team travel and distributed collaboration. • Support for your personal and professional development. Replika · 2 hours ago

Intermediate EMEA Less than 1 month Development

Headquarters: Armenia Yerevan, EMEA, Armenia URL: http://replika.com About Replika In 2017, no one knew what AI was supposed to be. We built the world's first consumer AI app. Two million people showed up in two months. Today it's over 40 million, and the thing they keep telling us hasn't changed: it helped. It made their life better, steadier, a little less alone. Most AI is built for tasks, not for people. It gives you answers, but it doesn't care what you do with them. AI doesn't just need intelligence. It needs intention. Because the real question isn't just what AI can do. It's what AI is for. When the world's leading researchers wanted to understand whether AI could actually change someone's life, they studied Replika, because there was nothing else to study. What they found at Stanford, at Harvard, across years of research, was that Replika doesn't replace human connection. It deepens it. People become more social, more confident, more themselves. Not in theory. In their actual lives. Every major AI company talks about their mission for humanity. None of them has ever clearly said what they're trying to do for a single person. We will. We want to help you flourish in real life. Not become a better version of yourself, just more yourself. Strong relationships. Better health. Meaning. Momentum. A life that feels worth living while you're living it. We're building the kind of AI that follows up. That knows the people in your life and nudges you to reach out when it matters. That sends you a poem, just because. The goal is conversations that lead somewhere real. Maybe it's a text you send to a long lost friend. A hobby you pick up again. A moment you show up for yourself. Everyone else is building AI that thinks. We're building AI that cares. Lifecycle & CRM Specialist About this role Millions of people have already met Replika: free users who haven't upgraded yet, subscribers who've lapsed, and people who signed up years ago and drifted away. Almost none of them hear from us in a way that's worth opening. That's the biggest untapped channel we have, and you'll own it. You'll build our lifecycle program from the ground up. Email first, then in-app messages, push and any other channel that gets the right message to the right person at the right moment. Onboarding, free-to-paid conversion, renewals, win-back, product launches. The goal is revenue and retention, not open rates. This is a hands-on role. You'll help set the lifecycle strategy and build it yourself: the segments, the flows, the copy, the tests and the reporting. Our users are in almost every country, so you'll work within consent and privacy rules for a global audience, and you'll know how to design a program that is both compliant and effective. What You’ll Be Doing • Build the core lifecycle flows: onboarding, free-to-paid conversion, intro offers ending, renewals, cancellation saves and win-back. • Convert free users. Work with product on in-app messages and offers that move people to paid at the right moment. • Reactivate our base. Plan and run campaigns to lapsed users and our long-dormant email list, cleanly and within consent. • Segment and personalize with product and subscription data, so each person gets the message that fits where they are. • Test everything: timing, subject lines, offers, channels. Keep what wins and kill what doesn't. • Own deliverability, list health and the reporting that ties every flow to revenue. What We’re Looking For • Hands-on lifecycle or CRM experience at a consumer subscription app, with revenue results you can show. • You've built flows yourself in a modern messaging platform like Braze, Customer.io, Iterable or Klaviyo. • Strong with data. You build your own segments and read your own results without waiting for an analyst. • You understand compliant communication for a global audience: consent, unsubscribes, GDPR, CAN-SPAM and their equivalents. • You write good copy, or know exactly how to brief and edit it. • You shape the strategy and do the implementation yourself. • Excellent written English. Bonus Points • In-app messaging and push experience on iOS and Android. • Deliverability experience: domain reputation, warming, and bringing a large dormant list back safely. • Experience with web and app subscription billing and the events it sends. • You've worked on a product where trust and tone really matter. What You’ll Get • Flexible job schedule and generous vacation policy. • Direct impact on millions of worldwide users within months. • Push the boundaries of applied AI in a consumer setting. • Fully remote, able to work CET hours.

Cursor, Claude Code, Codex and a growing list of other tools now sit between developers and their infrastructure. You will own that experience end to end. You'll make sure PlanetScale shows up everywhere developers build with AI, that our MCP server and CLI work flawlessly in every agent, and that we can measure how well it all works. Then you'll show the world how to do it well through demos, docs, blog posts, videos, and conferences. This is a hands-on role combining engineering, content creation, and a strong public voice. You'll work closely with the teams that build our MCP server, CLI, API and docs. The landscape of how developers work with AI changes fast. You'll have the opportunity to move quickly, experiment, and take the lead on the future of AI use with databases and infrastructure.
