Terms of Service

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding agreement to use Hovertask. If you use Hovertask for a business, you confirm you are allowed to act for that business, and these Terms apply to it too.

• Give true, current information when you sign up (name, email, phone) and keep it up to date.
• One person, one account. Creating several accounts to collect bonuses, referral rewards or task payments is not allowed.
• Keep your password private. You are responsible for everything done with your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.
• We may ask you to verify your email, phone, bank details or identity (KYC) before you can use some features or withdraw money.

Creating an account and browsing Hovertask is free. Some features need a one-time membership fee of ₦500, paid from your wallet or by Paystack. Membership unlocks applying for freelance projects and jobs, completing paid tasks, advertising, selling on the marketplace and listing yourself on Hire Professionals.

Membership is paid once and does not expire. Because it is activated immediately, the membership fee is not refundable, except where the law requires a refund.

• Members can list a professional profile for ₦500 for 30 days. This is separate from the membership fee and can be renewed.
• Every profile is reviewed before it goes live. We may ask for a means of identification (NIN) to confirm who you are. If we reject a newly paid profile, the listing fee goes back to your Hovertask wallet.
• The blue verified badge means we reviewed the profile when it was listed. It is not a guarantee of anyone's work, skills or conduct.
• Clients and professionals deal with each other directly (for example on WhatsApp or email). Hovertask does not employ professionals, is not a party to your agreement and takes no commission on it. Agree on the work, price and timelines in writing before you pay anyone.
• We may deactivate a profile that breaks these Terms, contains false information or receives serious complaints. Deactivated or expired listings are not refunded.

• Posts must describe real work, with honest pay, location and requirements.
• Employers and clients must never ask applicants to pay a fee to be considered, trained or hired.
• Applicants must give true information in their applications.
• Hovertask is not the employer and is not a party to any contract between you. We may review, edit or remove posts and applications that break these Terms.

• Sellers may list products for ₦500 for 30 days (fees can change and are always shown before you pay).
• Sellers are fully responsible for their listings: the item must be real, legal, accurately described and theirs to sell.
• Buyers and sellers agree on payment and delivery directly. Hovertask is not a party to the sale and does not hold goods or buyer payments. Inspect items, meet in safe places and avoid paying strangers in advance.
• Prohibited items include weapons, drugs, stolen or counterfeit goods, adult content, and anything illegal in Nigeria. We may remove listings at any time.

• Earners must complete each task genuinely and submit honest proof. Fake, copied or reused proof, bots and automation lead to rejection, loss of earnings and possible suspension.
• Advertisers pay for a campaign before it starts. Campaigns are reviewed and must not promote anything illegal, misleading or harmful.
• Earnings for approved tasks are added to your wallet. We may reverse payments for tasks later found to be fake or undone (for example, unfollowing after being paid).

• You can fund your wallet through Paystack and use it to pay for membership, listings, adverts and other services. We do not store your card details; Paystack processes them.
• The minimum withdrawal is ₦5,000. Withdrawals go only to a Nigerian bank account in your own name.
• Withdrawals may be reviewed and can take time to process. We may hold or cancel a withdrawal while we check for fraud or a breach of these Terms.
• If money reaches your wallet by mistake or through fraud, we may reverse it.

• Share your referral link or code. When someone signs up with it and pays for membership, you receive a referral bonus of ₦200 in your wallet.
• The bonus is paid once per referred person, only after they pay for membership. Signing up alone does not earn a bonus.
• Referring yourself, creating fake accounts or paying people to sign up is not allowed. Bonuses earned this way will be removed and the accounts may be suspended.
• We may change the bonus amount or end the programme at any time; bonuses already paid will not be affected.

• Break any law, or help anyone else do so.
• Scam, mislead or impersonate anyone, or post false information.
• Harass, threaten or abuse other users.
• Post illegal, hateful, adult or violent content, or content you do not have the right to share.
• Take conversations or payments off Hovertask in order to defraud someone.
• Try to hack, scrape, overload or interfere with Hovertask, or use bots to complete tasks.

You keep ownership of what you post (profiles, photos, listings, posts). You give Hovertask permission to display it on Hovertask and to use it to run and promote the service. The Hovertask name, logo and website belong to us and may not be copied without permission.

We may limit, suspend or close an account, remove content or hold funds connected to it if we believe these Terms have been broken, the law requires it, or it is needed to protect users or Hovertask. Where we can, we will tell you why. You can close your account at any time by contacting us; money legitimately in your wallet can be withdrawn first, subject to the rules above.

Hovertask is provided "as is". We work hard to keep it running and safe, but we cannot promise it will always be available or error-free.

Professionals, clients, employers, sellers, buyers and advertisers are independent of Hovertask. We are not responsible for their work, products, payments or conduct, or for agreements made between users.

As far as the law allows, Hovertask is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid to Hovertask in the 12 months before the claim.

We may update these Terms as Hovertask grows. When we make important changes we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, let you know by email or in your dashboard. Using Hovertask after the change means you accept the new Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. We will always try to resolve problems with you directly first. If we cannot, disputes will be handled by the courts of Nigeria.
