What is Hovertask?

Hovertask is one place to hire verified professionals, find freelance projects and jobs, buy and sell on the marketplace, earn from simple social media tasks, and advertise your business. It is built for Nigerians and businesses that want to grow online.

Is it free to join?

Yes. Creating an account and browsing everything is free. Some features (applying for work, selling, completing paid tasks, advertising and listing yourself as a professional) need a one-time membership of ₦500.

How do I create an account?

Tap "Create Account", enter your name, email, username, phone number and a password, then enter the 6-digit code we email you. If a friend invited you, their referral code is filled in automatically from their link.

Can I use Hovertask on my phone?

Yes. Hovertask works in any modern phone browser, and every page is designed for small screens.

Hire Professionals

How do I hire a professional?

Go to Hire Professionals, search by skill or location, and open a profile. Contact the professional directly on WhatsApp or email from their profile. Agree on the work, price and timeline before you pay.

Does Hovertask take a commission?

No. You pay the professional directly, and Hovertask takes no commission on your agreement.

What does the blue verified badge mean?

It means our team reviewed the profile, and where needed the person's identity (NIN), before it went live. Always check samples of their work too.

How do I list myself as a professional?

Become a member, then open "My professional profile" in your dashboard (or tap "Get Hired Today"). Fill in your skills, rates and contacts, add your NIN, and pay ₦500 for 30 days. Once approved, your profile goes live with the blue badge.

Why do you ask for my NIN?

To confirm you are a real person before we verify your profile. Your NIN is stored encrypted, only Hovertask admins can see it, and it is never shown on your profile.

What if my profile is rejected?

We tell you what to fix, and the listing fee goes back to your Hovertask wallet. You can update your profile and submit it again.

What happens when my listing ends?

We remind you 3 days and 1 day before it ends. When it expires your profile is hidden until you renew. You can also add more days in the last week of your listing.

Freelance & Jobs

What is the difference between Freelance and Jobs?

Freelance projects are short pieces of work paid per project or per hour. Jobs are full-time, part-time, contract or internship roles with a company.

How do I apply?

Open a project or job and tap Apply. You will need an account and a membership. Write a short proposal explaining why you are a good fit.

How do I post a project or job?

From your dashboard, go to Freelance (Job) and choose "My Freelance Projects" or "My Posted Jobs", then create a post. Our team reviews it before it goes live.

Should I pay to get a job?

Never. No real employer should ask you for money to apply, train or be hired. Please report any post that does.

Marketplace

How do I buy something?

Open a product and contact the seller on WhatsApp from the product page. Agree on payment and delivery with them directly.

How do I sell?

Become a member, then go to Marketplace > Add Product in your dashboard. Add photos, a price and details. Listing costs ₦500 for 30 days.

Does Hovertask hold payments for sales?

No. Buyers and sellers pay each other directly. Inspect items before paying, meet in safe public places, and avoid paying strangers in advance.

What can't I sell?

Anything illegal in Nigeria, weapons, drugs, stolen or counterfeit goods and adult content. We remove such listings.

Tasks & Advertising

How do social tasks work?

Pick a task (follow, like, comment, share and more), do it on the social platform, then upload proof. When the advertiser or our team approves it, the payment goes to your wallet.

Why was my task rejected?

Usually because the proof was unclear, did not match the task, or the action was undone. Do each task honestly and submit a clear screenshot.

How do I advertise my business?

Go to Advertise > Create Campaign, choose what you need (followers, likes, views, reviews and more), set how many, and pay from your wallet. Real people complete your tasks.

Membership & Payments

What does membership cost?

Membership is a one-time payment of ₦500. It never expires.

How do I fund my wallet?

Tap "Fund Wallet" in your dashboard and pay securely with Paystack (card, bank transfer or USSD).

How do I withdraw?

Go to Withdraw in your dashboard, add a Nigerian bank account in your own name, and request a withdrawal. The minimum is ₦5,000.

Is the professional listing fee the same as membership?

No. Membership is a one-time fee for your account. The professional listing fee (₦500 for 30 days) is separate and only for appearing on Hire Professionals.

Is my payment information safe?

Yes. Payments are processed by Paystack. Hovertask never sees or stores your card details.

Refer & Earn

How does Refer & Earn work?

Share your referral link or code from the Refer & Earn page. When someone signs up with it and pays for membership, you get ₦200 in your wallet as a referral bonus.

When do I get paid?

As soon as the person you referred pays for membership. Signing up alone does not pay a bonus.

Can my friend type my code instead of using the link?

Yes. They can type your referral code (or your username) in the "Referral Code" box when they sign up.

Is there a limit?

No limit. You earn ₦200 for every person you refer who joins. Fake or self-referrals are removed.

Account & Safety

I forgot my password. What do I do?

Tap "Forgot Password?" on the sign-in page and follow the code we email you to set a new password.

How do I stay safe on Hovertask?

Agree on work and prices in writing, never pay to get a job, inspect items before paying, and never share your password or verification codes with anyone.

How do I report a problem or a scam?

Send us a message through the Contact page with the link to the profile, post or listing. We review every report.

How do I contact support?

Use the Contact page or email hovertask@gmail.com. We reply as quickly as we can.
