What is Hovertask Artisans?
Hovertask Artisans is a directory of plumbers, electricians, painters, tailors, mechanics, hairdressers and many other tradespeople across all 36 states and the FCT. Every artisan has a profile with their trade, location, a short description of their work, their social media, and real photos of jobs they have completed.
Most importantly, every listing is reviewed by our team before it goes live. Nothing shows on the page until an admin has checked the details and the work photos, so you are not scrolling through fake or empty profiles.

How to find an artisan in 3 steps
1. Search by trade and location
Open the Artisans page and tap a category, for example Plumber or Electrician. Choose your state, then type your city or pick your LGA from the list. You can also search by name or skill.
2. Check their work
Open a profile to read what they do and look through the photos of their previous jobs. You will also see their social media pages, how long they have been verified, and until when their listing is active.
3. Contact them directly
Tap WhatsApp, Call or Email. You talk to the artisan yourself: there is no middleman and Hovertask takes no commission on the job.
Tips for hiring safely
- Agree on the job and the price before any work starts, and if you can, write it down in a WhatsApp message.
- Avoid paying the full amount upfront. A deposit for materials is normal; the balance can follow when the work is done.
- Ask for recent photos or a video of similar work, and check their social media pages.
- For bigger jobs, ask for a breakdown of materials and labour.
Tip: save the profile link of an artisan you liked working with. You can share it with friends and family, and find them again easily next time.
Are you an artisan? List your business
If you are good at what you do, customers near you are already looking for you. Listing your business on Hovertask Artisans puts your work in front of them, with buttons that let them WhatsApp or call you in one tap.
How listing works
- Fill in your details: your name or business name, your trade, a description of your work, your phone number, email, state and city / LGA, at least one social media handle, a profile photo and at least two photos of your work.
- Pay ₦500 for a 30-day listing and verification review, by card, bank transfer, USSD or from your Hovertask wallet.
- Pending approval: our team reviews your details and photos. The fee gives you a listing opportunity and a review; it does not guarantee approval. If your listing is not approved, you will see the reason and can fix it and submit it again once without paying again.
- Go live: once approved, your profile shows on the Artisans page for 30 days. We remind you before it ends so you can renew.
How to get approved faster
- Use clear, bright photos of your own finished jobs. Photos copied from the internet are declined.
- Write a specific description: what you do, the areas you cover, and how quickly you can come.
- Use a profile photo of your face or your business logo.
- Make sure your phone and WhatsApp numbers are correct, so customers can reach you.

Does Hovertask guarantee the work?
